At every club meeting, following the club’s monthly business, a presentation is given by a gardening professional or horticulture expert. Guests are welcome at meetings and invited to come early for refreshments and socializing.
Marcy Lautanen-Raleigh, owner of “Backyard Patch”(BackyardPatch.com), has a passion for growing for more than 20 years now. Her speciality is fresh, amazing, organic blended herbs for cooking, tea, and bath – and they are all home-grown and hand-blended. Her presentation was on “Body Beautiful” – taking what you grow in your garden and creating herbal creations for the bath and skin.

Ms. Barb Wilson, Plant Monitor for over 15 years at the Lake in the Hills fen, 500 acres of unspoiled native Illinois landscape.
